Further to our blog post located at:
GTA Traffic Transit Expansion worth 17.5 Billion Dollar

Please discuss your opinions on the new traffic transit expansion proposed by the Liberal Government which as the post says will be completed by 2020 and the benefits will be:

Quote
Extending the Yonge subway into Vaughan
Making GO trains run faster and more frequently
Expanding the light rail system as far as Hamilton
Getting more cars off the road

Discuss and let the government know Your thoughts.

This will be interesting to see if they can actually get cars off the roads and people using the Transit system. If they could build it even faster that would be better.

One thing I would like to suggest is putting more transit even past Hamilton. There is still quite a number of drivers coming from even St. Catherines to Toronto who are tying up the roads, and I'm sure some would like to take public transit especially if they implement the newer faster Go Trains that will run along the Port Credit to Union lines.

I like the effort though and its good that they are thinking about traffic. It won't change my political view at all, but for improving traffic I'm glad they are finally putting thought into it.

It sounds promising.  But it would be nicer if they couldget to the results faster.  You have to image, putting that much money into should get the result faster.

I like it as it seems a quick way to travel along the 407 with transit might be put into place. If people start using that even more, then even less will be on the 407.

More smooth driving for my bimmer Smiley

Only thing I don't like, as I agree with dvesh is that they should make it a quicker turnaround.

Signed up to voice my opinion on this.

Everyone seems to like it but I don't.. it's going to take way to long to do and will never happen. If I have to pay for it for 50 years from now with my tax money that they already tax from my income then lets just forget it.

Will this really help things? Not for me. I'll be retired when they actually build it.
